In 50 words or less, what’s this film about?
The story of the film is about the difficulty of growing up and the acceptance of these changes that happens as part of our maturity through our journey in life.
What inspired you to make this film?
During the revolution of 2011 in Egypt and the change that happen in our society, and as a filmmaker I'm always fond of the marginal stories about the ordinary people, and I wanted to translate this feeling of urge to change throughout a story about maturity that happens on our daily life but sometimes we don't pay attention to it.
Name your Top 3 Films of All Time:
It's too difficult but I'd say "A Separation", "Uzak" and "Bal" and some others as well.
What’s your connection to Mississippi? (If you don’t have one, why did you apply to a Mississippi festival?)
As a filmmaker I believe in the power of cinema as a medium that gives me the ability to capture the human qualities and to be able share it with the rest of the world despite the difference in culture, language, color or even believe in order to enrich our knowledge about us as human beings in one unity and I hope that my film would be able to share this with wonderful audience of the festival.
Have a nice day!
Greetings from Egypt!
