Rules & Eligibility Requirements

Full details can be found on the entry forms above.
Entries must be completed works.
Entries must have been completed no earlier than June 30, 2006.
Screening copies must be sent in DVD Region 1 or 0 format only.

Categories for each format

Feature Narrative (45 minutes or longer)

Feature Documentary (45 minutes or longer)

Short Narrative (less than 45 minutes long)

Short Documentary (less than 45 minutes long)

Youth (For filmmakers 18 years of age or younger on day of postmarked submission.)

Student (For films by undergrad or graduate students.)

Animation

Mississippi (one or more filmmakers must live in Mississippi at time of submission)

Send a check or money order, in U.S. funds only, payable to "Crossroads Film Festival", in the appropriate amount:

Entries must be postmarked by the date of deadline to be accepted as such.

Entry fees will not be returned.

The Festival reserves the right to impose a $20 surcharge for returned checks.

Once Accepted:

Filmmaker is responsible for immediately providing a press kit (including photos, synopsis, and cast and crew credits).
Filmmaker agrees that he/she will be solely responsible for the delivery of his/her film.
If the filmmaker or representatives are not in attendence, Crossroads Film Festival will provide return shipping of the print/master tape.

Other

Do not use fiber-padded envelopes to send videotapes - the residue ruins tapes & equipment.

For confirmation that your entry was received, please include a SASE.

Entry title and name of entrant must be on all materials and containers.

Accepted Festival Formats

Please note: NTSC only will be accepted for master tapes. Regardless of acceptance status, films in PAL or other formats will be returned without inclusion in the Festival.
