Film Title: Perfect Breakfast (USA premiere)
In 50 words or less, what is your film about?
Perfect Breakfast is about a young woman who tries to cook the perfect pair of eggs for breakfast and drives herself completely insane.
What was your motivation to make this film… why this film, and why now?
I was frustrated that all of my ideas were too high-concept to just go out and do. I wanted to make a film that I could really shoot without a bunch of bells and whistles. When I stumbled upon the Duplass Bros.' short film "This Is John," it sparked an idea in my head and a pounded the script out. Months later my friend Taylor Salan helped me make this thing possible.
What is your connection to Mississippi? If you don’t have one, why did you choose to enter your film into a Mississippi festival?
I had found Crossroads in my festival research via MovieMaker Magazine for my previous short film "A King's Betrayal," which was well-received, but I wasn't able to attend. I vowed to bring another film to Crossroads so I could be able experience what Jackson had to offer for real.
