In 50 words or less, what’s this film about?
Mikash, a small Jewish boy and his family live in a ghetto. Why can he not keep his dog Chika? And why do they have to hide under the ground? Mikash can`t understand.
What inspired you to make this film?
The amazing cheerful energy of the very old Jewish lady, who wrote the book to this film. As a child she suffered so much. And now she is full of hope and love. With this film we want to speak to children in the same careful and respectful way in which Batsheva Dagan talks to children for decades.

What’s your connection to Mississippi? (If you don’t have one, why did you apply to a Mississippi festival?)
I would looooove to visit Mississippi one day and listen to the local music all day.
