Crossroads Film Festival, in partnership with ardenland entertainment company, will round out a full day of workshops and film screenings with an evening musical performance by Jackson's own Southern Komfort Brass Band. Southern Komfort will start its Duling Hall set at 9:15 pm on Saturday, April 11, and play until shortly after midnight. Southern Komfort is a New Orleans style brass band with influences from jazz, blues, R & B, funk and gospel. The five year old group has received multiple recognitions from Jackson Free Press' "Best of Jackson Awards," including, among others, the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Best Original Band honor. Cover charge for the performance will be $10. Holders of Festival All Access passes will have free admission.
This is Crossroads Film Festival's sixteenth festival and will run from April 9 through April 12. Started in 2000, the Festival celebrates the art of filmmaking with film screenings and competitions from a wide variety of genres including features, shorts, documentaries, animation, music videos, and others.

Thursday April 9th at 7:00 p.m. - Southern Music Video Showcase sponsored by WJTV News Channel 12, and live performance by Jackson-based band, Cynical Twins, Hal & Mal's Red Room, Jackson - Tickets $5
Friday April 10th, 6:00 p.m. - local premiere of short film, Clown Service, followed by local premiere of feature, Battlecreek¸ Q&A with producer and cast, Malco Grandview Theatre, Madison - Tickets $10
Saturday April 11th from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. - Workshops and Screenings of over 80 films, Malco Grandview Theatre, Madison - $8 per screening, $20 for Saturday Day pass, $45 for All Access pass
Saturday April 11th from 9:00 until midnight - Southern Komfort Brass Band, Duling Hall, Jackson - $10 cover charge
Sunday April 12th - awards brunch for filmmakers
