In 50 words or less, what’s this film about?
Agata is the story of a 40-years-old woman whose peaceful everyday life is turned upside down by the accidental arrival of mysterious metal cylinder which turns out to be a cryogenic semen container that comes with a kit for home-insemination.
What inspired you to make this film?
The cylinder and the self-insemination kit are a starting point to talk about the surreal: through the advancement of technology and scientific discoveries, previously unthinkable situations are now possible and available to the public as they were everyday events. The range of possibilities has amplified exponentially: the only way to adapt to this bombardment of alternatives is perhaps the one to choose in a "light" way. There is no longer a single right path, in our case not a single way to give birth to a creature. In the absence of strong points of reference, whatever happens inevitably ends up being the choice to which we cling with all our strength and convictions.

What’s your connection to Mississippi? (If you don’t have one, why did you apply to a Mississippi festival?)
I don’t have a direct connection to Mississippi. I applied to after reading some very good reviews and information on the Festival.
